Dr. Peterson graduated with his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama. From there, Dr. Peterson interned and completed his residency at Tulane University Affiliated Hospitals in New Orleans. Dr. Peterson also received a cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dr. Peterson is a fellow at the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Baldwin County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.
Dr. Peterson continually strives to keep abreast of the latest science and techniques in cardiology by participating in workshops on stress echocardiography and interpretation of nuclear cardiology studies. He also attends the annual national meeting of the American College of Cardiology.
